New York State United Teachers Unanimously Endorse Patrick Burke for NYS Assembly's 142nd District

Buffalo, NY- Last night New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) voted unanimously to endorse Patrick Burke in his candidacy for the New York State Assembly’s 142nd District.

“I am honored to receive NYSUT’s endorsement in this race. NYSUT has over 600,000 members across New York State, and has one of the largest membership bases of teachers in the 142nd District. This endorsement shows my commitment to both labor and education and confirms the strength of my candidacy in this race.”

Burke, an Erie County Legislator who is a member of NYSUT, is the frontrunner in the race for the 142nd District. In his four years in the Legislature, Burke has cultivated an impressive legislative agenda including the first plastic microbead ban in the nation, the PENCE Bill protecting children from the universally discredited “conversion therapy”, and the fight against telecommunication monopolies that control our region’s cable and internet service.
